OUAS May reveal

Hi all, after having some internet issues, I think I have it sorted, I can now share my DT example for the Once Upon a Sketch May challenge.

Here is the wonderful sketch and you will find all other examples and prizes to be won HERE.

Here is my take on the sketch.

"Love Birds"

This months criteria was about absolutely anything we wanted!  So I opted for something pretty, fun and colourful of my hubby and I :)

I have written my journaling on the back as that is always the last part I add to my layouts.....and oops, I forgot to leave a space for it!!!  It's pretty much all that gushy stuff to say how much I love him and would be lost without him :)

I have used a mix of Crate Paper, Sassafrass (yep, still hoarding that) and Prima gorgeousness!!!

Lots of yummy Shimmerz as usual too!

Soooo speaking of my awesome hubby and how much I love him, he is creating my new scrap room for me atm...........ohhhh, I can't wait to get settled into it.....going to be a while though, I have so much stuff to sort through :)  But super excited for a new pretty space!!!  Stay tuned!

Have a wonderful day,
Hugs xo

Here is the gorgeous moodboard!!  I was inspired by the lovely colours, the bows and the GOLD :)

Here is my take.....this is one of my favourite layouts atm, I just love it and the colours together!  Have a read of my journaling down the side...my little boy is so funny sometimes, comes out with the cutest AND cheekiest things :)

"Everyday I Adore You"

I have used several 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces here.  I have cover the Adore You title with red paint and then applied some gold glitter to the bottom of the words.

I have painted the Indian Feathers, dipped them in gold glitter and layered them foam tape.

I have cut a Frames Tiny Funky into 2 pieces and covered in gold glitter once again.  I have placed one half to the right of the feathers and the other  half sits under the photo.

I have applied Gesso to the Light Bulb and then added a tiny amount of Rub 'n Buff to the centre of the bulb.

Here you can see the other frame under my handmade bow.  I have also added lots of lovely Prima flowers!!

Lots of layers and more pretty flowers!

Shimmerz canvas and tutorial

Hello!!!  Today I have a canvas piece to share with you.  This was my first time having a go at the brush script trend!  Not the greatest brush script but........... I love the end result and this canvas has a lovely spot on my wall in our family room :)

I used the following Shimmerz products :

Vibez in Jeni B Bleu (of course) and Blue Jeans
Spritz in Licorice
Dazzlerz in Foiled Again (loved this - first time using it)
Shimmerz in Ultra Marine and Coal

I applied Dazzlerz in Foiled again to the florist vine and the tips of the flowers.

I handmade this shabby, floral piece.  The resin pieces have be sprayed with the Vibez products.

I created the brush script writing with black paint, once a little dry I went over it again with Shimmerz in Coal.

The Foiled Again Dazzlerz has a gorgeous shine to it, with the other colours mixed in too, the whole canvas just Shimmerz :)

Here I would like to share with you, in pictures, my process of creating this canvas.

1.  Before I started on the canvas I gave it a coat of Gesso using a piece of cardboard to randomly scrape it on.
2.  After allowing to dry I then did the same thing with the Dazzlerz Foiled Again product.
3.  After applying more heat to it and drying I stencilled out the checkers with some Modelling paste.

4.  Apply some sprays and flicks with the Vibez products.

5.  Spray some Licorice Spritz at the top of the canvas and allow it to run down the page.
6.  Add some florist vine to the lower right hand side.
7.  Sprinkle some glitter on (before mediums dry).
8.  Add some washi tape to the sides if you want to.

9. Now add your brush script.  After the black paint dried I then went back over the writing with Shimmerz in Coal to make it all shimmery.

10.  Lets start to add some flowers.

11.  Apply more flowers in the greys, navy and black tones (keeping the darker colours to the bottom of the flower cluster).  On your layered flowers, apply the heart resin piece.

12.  Continue to add the handmade floral piece, all of the turquoise flowers, the clear pebbles and the resin bird.

13.  I have then added some more Shimmerz colour to the canvas.  I sprayed the resin heart with the Vibez products and applied with a small paintbrush, some Shimmerz in Ultra Marine to underneath the embellishments to add more depth.  The little resin bird also got a little colour added to him :)

14.  Lastly I added the bow paperclip up the top and the Say It In Crystals.

Thanks for visiting and sharing in my process with me :)
I hope your weekend is wonderful!!!
Hugs xoxo

Some pretties today :)

Hello lovely blog followers!  Thought I would pop by today with a few shares :)
My first layout today was actually inspired by the Scrapfriends sketch challenge for the month of April....but busy ol' me didn't have time to upload it!!!  Oh well, love it anyway!

My beautiful Mummy, myself and the boys having a treat a few months back!  Mase was there somewhere, he missed the selfie and I just love Kobi's choccie face :)

"Happy Little Moments"

I have used lots of bits and pieces here, the Crate Paper icecream standout.....how cute is that?  A few Prima flowers in the pastel colours to match the paper.

I finally got my hands on the Webster's Pages paper from the 'Our Travels' collection........I am soooo addicted to bokeh right now!!!!

There are also a few other embellies here from The Pier collection by Crate Paper.

"Summer treats with my favourite people"........hanging on to those moments, winter has certainly hit us now...brrr!!!!!

My second layout today is a just because :)  It's of my little mini me, Kobi, and I.  This little boy looks so much like his Mummy and even some of his quirky actions remind me of me as a little one.  He is the sweetest out of my boys, forever telling me he loves me....just melts my heart!!!!  But also the stirrer and instigator of fights with his brothers....middle child syndrome...lol!!!!  And that wasn't me as a child, must be like his Dad there ;)

"Mini Me"

Just a few closeups.........

Lots of gorgeous Prima flowers and resins here.

Papers are a mixture of Crate and Glitz.

Lastly today just a little card to share :)
This is so super cute irl...pic doesn't do it justice!

Hope you enjoyed my post today, have a wonderful day.
Thankyou again for those lovely comments left :)

2 Crafty for April

Happy Friday all :)  I want to share with you my other 2 creations for my 2 Crafty Chipboard DT post for the month of April.

My first layout today is a beachy one!!!
Love the beach, love creating beachy layouts :)

The following 2 Crafty chipboard pieces were used on this layout:
Today Loopy Font
Thistle Shrub
Pirate Treasure Pack (Anchor)

"Today"

The "Today Loopy Font" was perfect for my title.

I applied some Gesso to the Anchor out of the " Pirate Treasure Pack",
I then wrapped some cheesecloth around it with some twine.

I cut the " Thistle Shrub" into two pieces, one smaller than the other,
and coated with some Gesso and Shimmerz.

Some gorgeous flowers which I added a little Shimmerz to (along with the rest of the layout) :)

My next 2 Crafty creation today was inspired by the gorgeous Prima PPP for April.

The 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces I used here were:

Valentine Branch
Alpha Set 1
Birdcage 4
Doily Boarder
Hot Air Balloon

"Bunnies"

I covered the "Hot Air Balloon" with some calico and patterned paper and
finished off with a bow resin piece.

I layered the "Valentine Branch" and "Birdcage 4" together with a bunch of
gorgeous flowers.  I applied Gesso to them and traced a little gold paint
around the outside of the cage.

For the title Bunnies, I used the "Alpha Set 1", covered with gold paint and traced
an outline with a White Gel pen.  I also did the same with the "Doily Boarder"
which I chopped up into single pieces and placed on the top and bottom of my layout.

Just my layers of pretty flowers :)

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful weekend xoxo
