Shimmerz tags

Hello!  Today I have a couple of tags to share with you featuring some awesome Shimmerz products :)

Here I have listed what I used on my tags:

Texturez in Crushed Coral
Dazzlerz in Dreamsicle and Spun Sugar
Shimmerz in Tickle Me Turquoise
Vibez in Jeni B Bleu
Spritz in Mango Madness

I started with the Tickle Me Turquoise and using a paintbrush and a little water I washed the colour out giving it that water colour effect.  I added little flicks also.  Popping a lid off one of my pots I created the circles using the new Dazzlerz in Dreamcicle.

I created a little birds nest with string, twine and florist vine.  Then I traced the vines with some Sugar Spun Dazzlerz.  I also dabbed some Texturez in Crushed Coral to the sides of the nest.

The first tag was super quick so I felt on a roll and decided to make another, keeping the same colour theme but trying for something a little different.  I added some transparency butterflies, a flower vine and accent.

I stamped the butterfly stamp to the tag and coloured in with the Shimmerz, I also applied the Shimmerz to the transparent butterflies.  Then added more Dazzlerz in Sugar Spun to the vine and flowers to add that little bit of shabby.

Stacey is being super generous again :)  We are now offering for a short period of time for anyone that places a Shimmerz order and includes my name in the INSTRUCTIONS TO MERCHANT space, you will receive a FREE "sample" sized jar of Dazzlerz or Texturez.   How cool is that, you have definitely got to try these new products :):)

Thanks for stopping by today and especially those who take the time to leave me lovely comments and feedback, I really appreciate it!

A little bit of Crate Inspiration

Happy weekend everyone!!!
Just popping by with a Crate paper project that was shared over at the Aussie blog recently :)  I used Crate Paper collection 'On Trend'.  Of course I picked the boyish colours out of the collection to work with!  A little bit of heart confetti and some Shimmerz misting.

"I Love You"

Some lovely layers built up to sit my spunky picture on :)

I really loved the alphas along with some Thickers.

Of course the Chipboard pieces are super cool too.

It feels like forever since I shared any photos on my little blog so I have a few to share today.  I think it also has to do with them being few and far between these days.  While Cooper was at school on Friday, Kobi had a birthday party to go to so before we went we just had a quick click of the camera.  Of course no one ever wants to cooperate or look at me but I just happened to get these few awesome ones.....so sometimes just ignoring Mummy gets you some great pics anyway :)

Okay, thanks for dropping by, I hope you have a fantastic and creative weekend xo

Wedding Style

Hello!!  Today I am sharing a couple of wedding projects I have created over the last few weeks.

The first creation was for the Aussie Scrap Source blog.  Our project was to create a whole wedding theme to inspire!!  I, however, was married over 10 years ago now and if we were to do it all again this would certainly be my type of theme, beautiful, romantic and shabby chic.  I had pink in my wedding and just had to add a splash of it here to the Prima Engraver collection.  Sizzix dies were also used to create the gorgeous lace edges on all of the elements.

To construct the Invitation, I started out with a piece of cardstock and 2 folds towards the centre.  Four folds were then made from the centre point to each corner.  Leaving a centimetre space I then created another four folds, 2 towards the top and 2 towards the bottom of the invitation.  It was then easy enough to adhere the lace border to all of the edges shown, just cutting the pieces to fit.  Finished off with some string, a flower and some splashes of pink Shimmerz.

The napkin holder was so simple to make.  I cut a piece of patterned paper about 5 cm wide.  Using the Sizzlits lace  border I adhered a piece to fit on each edge of the cylinder.  I then wrapped some string around and tied in a bow and topped it off with a misted Prima flower.

As a little thankyou gift I decorated a small jar.  You may also like to fill it with something sweet.  I wrapped the Prima vine around the top of the jar along with some string.

The place card was also quick and simple.  The border die was once again added to the top and bottom of the patterned paper.  String was attached to the top and tied off at the side. Flowers were adhered with a touch of Gesso and more misting.

I adhered the patterned paper to each edge of the numbers.  Misting a little colour and then placing the lace border on the edges to tie the whole theme together.  The numbers were bought from a local craft store.

I decorated a beautiful centrepiece using a birdcage and plenty of gorgeous Prima flowers.

Would you believe this is the first wedding photo I have scrapped of us?  All of my photos are in a huge thick album but I managed to get this one scanned and edited to fit my style of scrapping.  It was also the time just before digital cameras kicked off.....hehe!!!!
The Engraver collection is a wonderful paper range to use for your wedding, perfectly neutral to add whatever colour your theme may be.

So next up is a Prima bouquet I created using one of my favourite colours at the moment......Coral!  I found everything in my flower stash that was in this colour or similar.   I started out with a Styrofoam ball and handle.  Bows were added and then I popped all of the flowers in with a pin each.

There you have it for today, I hope I have inspired you to make something pretty!!!

Hugs to you all, thankyou for stopping by.

Catching up with Aussie Scrap Source :)

Over the past couple of months I have had some creations shared over at Aussie Scrap Source.  If you have missed them, I will share them here today :)

The first was a punch project around the page, I choose to use the We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 Punch in the Fancy Scroll.  Along with Prima I think this punch was the perfect addition to my seaside themed layout.

"Treasure"

A Pebbles Inc layout featuring Walnut Grove.  I actually had a ball with this brand (not being one of my go-to brands) and loved the result, very fun and playful!!!!  Plus I really love these colours together :)

"Playtime"

I loved cutting out and punching the arrows and the butterflies in this collection, the patterned papers are such a cute mix together!!

Next one is featuring Bo Bunny, Mama Razzi 2 collection.
Love the Teal and Orange in this collection and the cute little camera motifs which I foam taped to my layout.   A little bit of masking and misting :)

"Best Buds"

Finished off with the buttons and gems!!

The last layout today is using Crate Paper's Party Day.  This feature was to scrap boy's birthday pictures or party pics!  Of course Masey's first birthday shoot(I can't believe he is nearly 2)  pictures were perfect for this collection.  I popped in a little lime green and royal blue to match the photos.  The pinwheels are my favourite :)

"Happy Birthday Baby Boy"

Very layered as normal, love those buttons too :)

Okay, that is it for today, I hope you like them............I have a special wedding feature to share with you all soon :)

Hugs, thanks for stopping by xo

Back to the Shimmerz blog

So before you leave me here, I wanted to share with you some Shimmerz creations.  I created a mixed media canvas boat for my boys to put up in their room at our holiday house.  I used layers of material and paper mixed in with all of the gorgeous Shimmerz product.

I have used here:
Texturez in Patina and Gritty Graphite
Dazzlerz in Gummy Berry Blue
Vibez in Jeni B Bleu
Spritz in Sapphire
Shimmerz in Ultra Marine

Super fun and quick to make, it's all about getting messy :)

My next creation has just been shared on the Shimmerz blog.  Another beachy canvas piece.  I just can't get enough of them and the new Shimmerz products make it so easy!

This is what I used here:

Texturez in Tidy Whidy, Patina, Gritty Graphite and Sandy Stone
Dazzlerz in Gummy Berry Blue (yummo)
Spritz in Treasured Hyme
Shimmerz in Antique Lace

"Seaside"

I think I am addicted to the Dazzlerz Gummy Berry Blue :)

I used Tidy Whidy for the title, look at that texture, it's like writing in the sand :)

I used a mask to create the rock effect around each side of the photo and canvas.
I dabbed each shell with some Gesso first to whitewash and then I used the Texturez to give it colour, texture and a gritty look.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a squiz at some of my fun things..........

Next up is the gorgeous Mirands's BLOG !!!

Thanks for playing along with us!! Have fun, and be inspired!
